Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data ExoWorld collects, why, and what rights you have. ExoWorld is a tool for keeping records of your animals – we collect only what the app needs to work.

Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is Darko Jačmenjak, Križevci, Croatia. For any question about your data or this policy, write to us at privacy@exoworld.app

What we collect

• Account: your email address and password. The password is stored only in encrypted (hashed) form and nobody can read it.
• Profile: the display name and profile photo you choose to add.
• Your collection: the animals you add and everything you record about them – names, species, sex, stage, dates, feedings, molts, notes, measurements, photos, breeding pairings and clutches, and your settings.
• Technical data: when you sign in, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as the IP address and time of the request, for security.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not sell your data.

Why we use it

We use your data only to provide the app: to create and secure your account, to store and show your collection, and to send account emails (confirming your email address and resetting your password). The legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you (the Terms of Use).

Camera, photos and notifications

The camera is used only to scan QR labels and to take photos you choose to save. QR scans are not stored. Photos are uploaded only when you add them to an animal or your profile.

Feeding and egg sac reminders are created on your device. They are not sent through our servers.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored with our hosting provider, Supabase, in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Supabase processes the data only on our behalf.

Videos in the app are played with YouTube’s official player. When you play a video, YouTube (Google) may collect data under its own privacy policy.

Payments, when subscriptions become available, will be handled by Apple or Google. We never see your payment card details.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you delete an animal, its records and photo are deleted. When you delete your account (Profile › Delete account), your account, collection and photos are permanently deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, and object to or restrict its processing. Most of this you can do directly in the app; for anything else, write to us and we will reply within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority – in Croatia, the Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP, azop.hr).

Age

ExoWorld is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from younger users.

Changes to this policy

If we make important changes, we will tell you in the app. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
